Story

This March (Walk All Over Cancer Month), teams across St Austell Family Group will be walking as many miles as possible in memory of our dear friend and colleague Jim Sloan, who we so sadly lost to cancer last year.

100% of the money we raise will be donated to Cancer Research UK and Only A Pavement Away. Two causes which were very close to Jim's heart (watch the videos linked below to learn more about these fantastic charities).

Back in September 2022, we set ourselves a BIG challenge to raise as much money as possible for our Charitable Trust. Teams across the business walked, ran, swam, cycled, rowed - all collectively attempting to travel over 1,851 miles (inspired by our founding year). This March, we've decided to extend the 1851 challenge for a further month in tribute to Jim and to fundraise in his memory.

The walks will be held on three consecutive Saturdays during March (Walk All Over Cancer Month) and will start and finish at our breweries and pubs across the South West. Click here to see our three walking routes.

-The Gem Jaunt, Saturday 11th March: Hare Brewery to Graze (10 miles).

-The Tribute Trail, Saturday 18th March: Holly Tree, Exmouth to Mill on the Exe (11 miles).

-Proper Job Finish, Saturday 25th March: Havener's to St Austell Brewery (10.5 miles).

Please give what you can to support us on our three charity walks and in loving memory of our friend, Jim. Thank you!
