Story
Thank you so much for all of your generous donations so far! We still need help in ensuring that our young people are safe during these unprecedented times.
Coronavirus means that 1625ip have immediate challenges we are responding to now and we need your support.
Our immediate need and challenge is supporting the most vulnerable young people who are isolating or shielding, and are facing the following challenges:
-Digital exclusion: lack of smartphone, data, or other technology. This can provide a lifeline to vital information, communication and assistance.
-Lack of access to essentials e.g. food and toiletries. Young people in isolation cannot and should not leave their home to get these items. Many of them can also not afford to buy food for a whole week.
-Challenges in mental health and wellbeing: isolation, loneliness, increased anxiety. A need to provide art, puzzles, books, crafts etc to support wellbeing.
-Maintaining a clean environment in our shared accommodation. We need professional cleaning to reduce the potential exposure to the virus for young people and colleagues in our 24-hour shared accommodation.
Please donate:
£25 can buy a selection of books, puzzles, art/craft and entertainment for a young person who is stuck in isolation. It will support their mental health and wellbeing.
£25 can provide unlimited data on a smartphone for a month an essential for a YP who is isolating themselves.
Additional professional cleaning in our 24 hour accommodation will cost £13 per young person, per week. Can you donate £13 per week to keep young people and colleagues safe and healthy?
£145 can buy a smart phone and 3 months unlimited data for a young person. This can be a lifeline during coronavirus. Can you support us at this time?
