Celebrating 15 Years of Impact for Rwandan Artisans: Azizi Life's Story
Azizi Life began its journey in 2008 with a mission to share God's love by opening opportunities for rural Rwandans to rise from poverty through fair trade.
Co-Founders Tom, Christi and Jeannine are grateful to everyone who has partnered with us to show love by multiplying artisans’ opportunities for earning and growth.
Our commitment to sustainable economic development through fair trade has led to significant impact in the lives of thousands in Rwanda. Now Azizi Life's team of 39+ people serves 745 artisans in 52 groups. Hundreds of visitors and customers have been enriched by the beautifying influence of the artisans.
Today, I am inspired by the hope and possibilities that our family has built together, and I pray that the orders for my weaving continue to grow so that we can continue to support our family and build a strong future. - Ephigenie Uwanyirigira, Weaver- ABIZERANYE COOPERATIVE
Azizi Life has also founded two other social enterprises to promote income opportunity in the fields of cultural tourism and beekeeping: Azizi Life Experiences and Beeutiful Creations.
Azizi Life is committed to investing a portion of our profit into community impact projects through the local nonprofit organization we began in 2016, called Azizi Life Impact. Through our Adult Literacy Program, over 3,500 people have learned to read and write so far.
Our goal is to teach more than a thousand more people by the end of 2023.
We are so thankful to you and to our loving God for all the growth we and the artisans have partnered to achieve.
