Story
10 Y Fan was established in 2015 to support Harri Gillen, who was diagnosed with a soft tissue cancer at the age of four. Since 2015 the event has run annually, donating all fundraising to local Children's Cancer Charities in support of children like Harri going through the same traumatic experience. 10 Y Fan is now the main event supporting a new Children's Cancer Charity, Holibobs, established in 2018 and dedicated to making the holiday wishes of children diagnosed with Cancer or Leukaemia come true.
The event, 10 Y Fan, challenges individuals to climb Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales, 10 times in 24 hours. 10 Y Fan is for everyone, whether you complete one climb or ten, it is an amazing accomplishment and promises a unique experience for a very worthwhile cause.
The ultimate goal of the event and the charity being supported is to provide these very deserving children with a break away from hospital to have adventures and precious time away with their family.
