Are you ready for a challenge this June?
Whether you're an avid runner, enjoy a gentle stroll whilst walking the dog or like to cycle to work, this challenge is for you.
We are challenging you to run, walk or cycle 104 miles during the month of June to help raise vital funds and awareness for The Haven.
Why 104 miles? Sadly, 2 women every week in the UK are killed at the hands of a current or former partner. That is 104 women every year. We need your help to raise vital funds to enable us to continue to reach out and support those living in dangerous and life-threatening situations.
Whether you want to take on the challenge on your own, get your friends involved or even create some healthy competition with your work colleagues - the possibilities are endless.
Can you put your Best Foot Forward?
One of the ways you can take on your challenge this year is by joining us at Aldersley Stadium on the 1st July for The Rotary's incredible Best Foot Forward event. This event is organised and ran by the Rotary Club and is supported by their generous patrons. For every lap you complete of the track at Aldersley, a £1 will be released from the pot to support their chosen charities- this year The Haven is extremely grateful to be one of those charities.
This is the perfect place to take on your 104 Challenge or even join us to mark the end of your own month long challenge. Get friends, family or work colleagues involved and come and join us to walk, jog or run your way around the track, team Haven will be there to cheer you on and for every lap of the track you complete you will release a £1 from the pot. You can take this on as a sponsored challenge and ask friends or family to sponsor you, we have noted some challenge ideas below but please feel free to create your own challenge, the more fun the better.
104 Minute Challenge - Run, walk or jog your way around the Aldersley track for 104 minutes. See how many laps you can complete and at the same time you are helping to raise vital funds for those at The Haven.
104 Lap Relay - Get friends, family or work colleagues involved and throughout the course of the day work together to complete 104 laps of the track.
10k Challenge - By completing 25 laps of the track, that is the equivalent to 10k
Half Marathon Challenge - Strive for a challenge and complete a Best Foot Forward Half Marathon by completing 53 laps of the track.
