🌟 Fundraising Campaign: 100 Miles to Stop 100 Seizures 🌟
Join us in celebrating Purple Day on 26th March and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with intractable epilepsy. We are organizing a fundraising campaign called "100 Miles to Stop 100 Seizures" in support of the Intractable Epilepsy charity. Our mission is to alleviate suffering, improve access to treatment, and raise awareness about this condition.
The aftermath of having a seizure is sometimes described as experiencing post-workout pains and can cause sufferers to feel muscle aches. So, to replicate that feeling, we are challenging you to participate in our “100 miles to stop 100 seizures” campaign.
🎗 Our Charitable Objectives 🎗
The charitable objectives of the Intractable Epilepsy charity are specifically focused on the relief of sickness and the preservation and protection of good health, particularly for children with intractable epilepsy. Here's how your generous contributions will make a difference:
1️⃣ Financial Support for Medical Grade Cannabis:
We aim to provide financial support for the cost of prescriptions for medical grade cannabis, as prescribed by a named specialist clinician on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. This medication is prescribed in accordance with UK government legislation, regulations, and NHS guidelines. By funding these prescriptions, we can help alleviate seizures and improve the quality of life for children with intractable epilepsy.
2️⃣ Grants and Bursaries for Medical Care and Treatment:
We will provide grants or bursaries to enable sufferers of intractable epilepsy to access necessary medical care and treatment. Your contributions will help bridge the financial gap and ensure that every child receives the care they need to manage their condition effectively.
3️⃣ Raising Awareness:
We believe that raising awareness is crucial in understanding and supporting those affected by intractable epilepsy. Through this campaign, we aim to educate the public about this condition and dispel misconceptions. By spreading knowledge, we can reduce stigma and create a more inclusive society for children with intractable epilepsy.
4️⃣ Support for Children and Families:
We are committed to providing support to children and their families who are experiencing the challenges of intractable epilepsy. online platforms, and community events, we will be there to provide guidance, answer questions, and offer a supportive network for those in need.
5️⃣ Information Dissemination:
We will disseminate information about available treatments, breakthroughs, and research in the field of intractable epilepsy. By keeping the community informed, we can empower individuals and families to make well-informed decisions regarding their healthcare.
