Story
Camden Music Trust are raising money to fund 100 hours of music for children most affected by the pandemic.
The Camden Music Service has seen a drop of over 25% of children taking lessons following the first lockdown. This is, in part, due to access to technology but also financial difficulties faced by families who on very limited income. Camden Council has done an amazing job of securing funds to purchase laptops and help close the digital divide, so children can access learning online.
We want to help bring online learning to life with music.
The Music Service has performed exceptionally, managing to reach children, including vulnerable families, so they can continue to learn remotely. We want to help children with a passion and musical talent, focus and commitment by funding 'Tasters for a Term' campaign. This campaign reaches children learning in the whole class project, who are nominated by their schools to have individual lessons in the summer term. These children may be in financial need, or from families with no tradition of involvement in music education.
