Story
Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) has launched an appeal to raise £1.5m for a new surgical robot for Addenbrookes Hospital and we need your help.
It costs approximately £1,000 per patient to provide robot-assisted surgery. That's why we have launched our 1000 challenge.
Will you take the Addenbrooke's 1000 Challenge and raise £1000?
Come up with something that you can do 1,000 times and raise at least £1,000. It could be running or cycling 1000km, walking 1,000 steps in your lunch hour for a month, baking and selling 1,000 cupcakes or giving up something for 1,000 hours (42 days). The only limit is your imagination!
How to get involved
1. Register for the challenge at www.act4addenbrookes.org.uk/events/1000challenge and claim your limited edition 'Buy Addenbrookes a Robot T-shirt'
2. Choose your 1000 Challenge
3. Set up a JustGiving fundraising page and start collecting donations from your family and friends.
You do not need to do your challenge all in one go, but anybody who pays in fundraising of £1,000 or more before 31 October 2021 will have an opportunity to dedicate a name to be displayed on the Robot Appeal 1000 Challenge webpage.
If you have any queries please do get in touch, the team would be more than happy to help email fundraising@act4addenbrookes.org.uk
