Story
Young people who attend 100 Club Youth Centre and our Cranbrook street-based mobile centre are fundraising to go on a summer residential trip. We had amazing feedback from the young people who attended the last 4-day residential in Brixham and want to make this experience available to more young people. Having missed out on many opportunities during the pandemic, these young people are really motivated to make this trip happen and they need your support!
Some of the things young people told us after their last residential trip:
I miss everyone!
Phenomenal!
Epic!
The trip will give 20 young people the opportunity to experience new things, learn new skills, make friends and have fun. It will provide a fun and welcoming environment for these young people whilst building their resilience, confidence and self-esteem.We want the opportunity to be free from financial barriers which is why we are fundraising to cover the costs.
The 4-day residential will contribute to the young people's well-being, encouraging them to cook their own healthy food, give back to the group and engage in fun activities. It will include activities such as abseiling, stand up paddle boarding and coasteering, encouraging young people to get active throughout the duration.
The young people have been working really hard to create and run a series fundraising events. So far they've successfully organised 2 car washes and a pre-loved sale in additional to smaller in-session fundraising activities. We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us to run these events, from volunteering their time to donating their pre-loved items. The amount raised 'offline' through these activities has been added to this page.
We're also incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated to this campaign so far. Your support means that we are now really close to our target and the young people are already getting excited about their upcoming residential.
Please follow us on social media for up to date information on everything that's happening.
This wonderful video celebrating the success of the last residential at Grenville House in 2021 was made by one of our talented youth support workers from 100 Club. They were one of the young people who attended the residential in 2021 so they know exactly how much of a positive impact this kind of experience can have. Its amazing to now have them as part of the 100 Club team, helping to make the residential possible for more young people.
