Story

Excitingly, June 2023 marks the 10-year anniversary of Birds of Poole Harbour becoming a charity. Thanks to the public's support, we are incredibly proud of what we have been able to achieve over the last decade, and are already looking ahead with optimism and ambition as to what we can achieve over the next 10 years.

BoPH is a community-driven charity, and we have seen the number of people that are excited about the birdlife in Poole Harbour grow exponentially in the last few years. The initial success of the Osprey project has been momentous, with the first breeding pair now established, but it has equally been a privilege to share in this success with everyone through our livestream webcams and events. All of our project work, whether conservation or outreached focused, is only achievable because of the support we’ve had from the public, so thank you if you have helped us in any way over the last 10 years.

To mark this significant milestone for the charity, we have set the target of raising £10,000 in 10 weeks, helping fund BoPH’s project work and running costs. We are grateful for any help you can give us in reaching this target, either by making a donation or sharing the campaign. Thanks again for your support, and we look forward for another successful decade!
