Carpin4Heroes is an annual event which has been running for five years now, held on Great Linford Lakes (near Milton Keynes), each angler pays £50 for 3 nights fishing through the Just Giving site where all monies go directly to Help for Heroes.  The owner of the lakes, Dave Marle, generously allows the event to take place every year, and also provides a free Hog roast on the Friday night and use of The Marle Inn.

The Events official start is Friday 15 May 2015, although Dave Marle has indicated that due to the event’s popularity, if anyone wants to come down on the Thursday evening they are welcome to do so and bivvy up in the car park. This year The Marle Inn will also be open from the Thursday where there is a pie and beer evening being held!  The event officially starts on Friday morning where the draw will be held to give each person their lake/swim, and in the evening will be the hog roast and the charity auction, compared by Johnny Bannister – where everyone has the chance to bid for lots of different items, all generously provided by companies who sponsor the event.  We would like to pass on our thanks for every company who supports us every year, always giving something to the auction or raffle, these now include many top companies, such as Vardis, Nash,Premier Baits and also Angling Publications, and sponsorship also comes from abroad in the form of Freedom lakes and a few others.
