About Buxton Carnival & Well Dressing Festival

Buxton Well Dressing Festival & Carnival, which began in 1840, is part of a tradition that occurs every year throughout the Peak District and Derbyshire. Events are organised by a committee supported by community volunteers, organisations and businesses. This ensures survival of our local history.
