Shave the Head's head!
It happened today in assembly and my head is now cold and my youngest daughter is using it as a Fuzzy Felt board!
A big thank you to everyone who wore a hat or came in with fancy hair and made a donation however big or small - it all counts.
On the day we raised over £1000 plus all the donations on this page.
Last year I made a rash promise to Chloe Saunders a pupil at school, when she was diagnosed with cancer. She underwent vast amounts of treatment with great fortitude and a smile always on her face. When she had no hair I offered to shave mine off for the charity of her choice. I believe that out of bleakness should always come some good. All the money will go to Cancer Research UK.
This I will do on Friday 23rd October 2009.
On that day pupils will bring in money and wear fancy hats or wigs. Donations may also be made at the school office.
Go on do your bit - help shave a head's head!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
