What are we doing?

To raise money, we are running a raffle to win a portrait painting of your choice - perhaps of yourself or a loved one - which Catherine will paint in oil. 

Please donate as much as you like, but we are asking for a minimum donation of £10, this will help us meet our target of £7k.

We've included some examples of Catherine's work so you can see her style.

We are launching the raffle during Heart Week from 7th-14th February but we will collect raffle entries until February 28th and we will announce the winner and be in touch by 5th March. Please make sure that you provide us with your contact details if you wish your donation to be included in the raffle draw.

Why are we doing this?

In May 2021 we were told that our unborn baby had a heart condition and he would need life-saving open heart surgery soon after birth. We were lucky that it was caught at the 20-week scan but often congenital heart disease is missed in-utero as it is difficult to spot and diagnose; often it is not discovered until the baby is born and this can sometimes be too late.

Rafe Alexander was born on 7th October 2021 with Tetralogy of Fallot, and he has now had the first of his surgeries. Tiny Tickers provided support for us during the pregnancy and are doing amazing things to raise awareness of CHD, money for equipment that can help save babies' lives, and training for sonographers to spot the conditions early, giving the best chance for treatment and positive outcomes.

The boring stuff:

- you can enter multiple times - please make sure each donation is minimum £10

- the portrait will be painted from a digital photograph or scan that you provide 

- the finished painting will be in oil, will measure 40cm x 40cm, and on a canvas board, for you to frame yourself

- we will ship the canvas at our expense to you within the UK. If you are based outside the UK and would like to enter the raffle, we ask that you pay for postage
