Story
Hi, I'm Nida. I'm 20 and currently studying Motorsport Engineering at Oxford Brookes. I will be running the Oxford Half Marathon on October 12th, 2025 for Survivor Space Oxfordshire.
As someone who has been fortunate to receive continued support from Survivor Space over the past year, I've experienced firsthand how their work benefits survivors – turning a challenging ordeal into something more manageable. In particular, my ISVA has been incredibly supportive in advocating for my needs and explaining each step of an often confusing process.
I’m running the Oxford Half Marathon to give back to Survivor Space. I aim to raise £350, which will allow others to access these vital services. Every donation will contribute to supporting survivors of sexual violence during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. Thank you for supporting this cause that means so much to me.
About Survivor Space Oxfordshire
Our mission is to support women and girl survivors of sexual violence, promote and advocate for their needs and work towards the elimination of sexual violence.
We do this by providing a range of support services (including counselling, support groups, helpline and email support, and advocacy), raising awareness of the prevalence and impact of sexual violence and challenging, and changing public attitudes about sexual violence in Oxfordshire and beyond.
