We educate orphans and vulnerable children to move them out of poverty

Story

With running always being something that I have found difficult to enjoy it has consequently been years since I ran more than 5 minutes! I wanted to change that this year and signed myself up for this 10k. Whilst I have been building my training up week by week, I have never ran an official 10k race so it is a challenge I am eager to complete!

With this commitment, I would love to raise as much money as possible for Zambia Orphans Aid. I feel very passionately about supporting such a great charity as I have seen the incredible work of my mother in law running her own orphanage in Zambia and the life changing impact is has on the children in the communities.

Whether it is big or small, I would be so grateful for any donations that you are willing to give. Thank you.

See below for some more information on Zambia Orphans Aid-

Life is tough for children in Zambia. With 1.2 million orphans and vulnerable children, family networks and the Government are struggling to cope. Zambia Orphans Aid (ZOA) works with deprived communities, helping them to support their children and youths, with a focus on education - a proven route out of poverty. Each year ZOA helps 1,800 children and youths through education, nutrition and social care, building their confidence and skills. We are a small charity and every penny raised makes a big difference. Thank you for your support.
