It's official. I'm in my "I Turned 30 So Now I Run" phase. And I wouldn't be a proper East Londoner without running the Hackney Half. This will be a very short-lived phase though, so let's make it worth its while and raise some money for a cause very close to my heart.

The Literacy Pirates do amazing work to ensure that kids everywhere (and particularly in Hackney) have the extra support they need on their reading and writing journey.

It's been over a year now that I've been rushing out of work on Fridays to help some Young Pirates read and write the most amazing stories.

If you're wondering what the money is for - it's so I can continue to hang out with some really cool and smart 10 year olds, who keep absolutely destroying me at Uno during break time.

If you're wondering what the money is REALLY for - it's to continue ensuring that these kids have the materials they need to write, the books they need to read, and the support from the amazing staff that make it all possible!
