About BOXING FUTURES
We are a national charity that believes in the goodness of the human spirit and that people can change people.
We use non contact Boxing & Boxercise training to out reach into our local communities and engage positively with disadvantaged young people, with a focus on physical and mental well-being and empowering young people through sport.
We are a Sport for Good, and Rehabilitation organisation that works primarily, but not exclusively, with young people aged 16-25years olds that are Not in Employment, Education or Training, Young Adult Offenders, those at risk of offending, young victims of crimes & abuse, those young people affected by poor mental health & well-being and other socially and economically disadvantaged groups.
From our projects in Peterborough and London, Boxing Futures engages with young people, aged 16-25 years who face social disadvantage. This means that compared to their peers they are unable to access opportunities to improve their lives due to poverty, educational disadvantage, offending history or are described as NEET (not in employment, education or training). We exist to have an immediate and positive impact by improving physical and mental well-being, increasing confidence as well as the ability to develop positive relationships. We believe these outcomes, together with support from our staff and partners will empower young people to access opportunities to employment, education, training or volunteering.
