About B.J.O Amara Association
The organisation seeks to provide basic life supplies such as food to the Maryhill community in Glasgow through their weekly food bank session. Furthermore, B.J.O. Association aims to promote healthy living and mental wellbeing through the engagement of the community in learning, sports and fun activities. In addition, B.J.O Amara association believes in the promotion of intergenerational activities whereby the young and old share life skills and experiences. It is hoped that this intergenerational interaction will promote good social skills and foster respect for individuals and eliminate discrimination and segregation in the community. The B.JO. Amara association is also involved in running summer camps for kids, feeding the homeless and organising dinner dances and other events that bring people of diverse ethnicity and background in the community together.
