Story
Donations made to this page will go directly to The Breastfeeding Network South and East Hampshire and Isle of Wight projects covering Isle of Wight, Gosport, Fareham, Havant, Petersfield, Bordon and surrounding areas.
In 2016 Hampshire County Council stopped funding for all third sector breastfeeding support and since then we have relied on fundraising and grants to enable the South and East Hampshire project to continue. As part of that in 2021 we applied for, and received funding to, expand our project onto the Isle of Wight. This funding enabled us to provide one of our accredited training courses for parents to train as peer support volunteers in both areas and in April 2023 we received funding from Public Health on the Isle of Wight to partner with Barnados and expand the service. In November 2023 we received 5 years National Lottery funding and we are now looking to secure funds to increase our training, provide social events for local families and our volunteers and give us security for future years.
We have an amazing team of 25 volunteers supporting local families with infant feeding. We offer both online and face-to-face support within the community.
All our support is offered free of charge and for details of all the services we provide please visit:

We are looking for funding to enable us to:
- run further training for our volunteers.
- continue to provide our volunteers with the support they need to be active in the community.
- run social events within the communities we cover.
- provide security to enable to project to continue past 2028.
Thank you so much for giving your support and enabling our valued service to continue.
