Wild Horse Race

 

I raced against wild Chilean guachos, i raced in the wind and rain, i raced for 100km in wild Bhaguala mountain country. A race against hardended guacho boys and their wives. Wrapped in Poncho and furs, the relentless wind and snow in the mountains, mist in the lagunuas. It was fast and wild over steep mountain passes, black sand river beds and swimming across pounding rivers. It rained and it rained and the race went on and on.

Lilah and her band of angels rode with me in this silent beauitiful Patagonia. I came in with the winners nose to nose on that special little horse Halisco who never gave up the fight and galloped and galloped ...........
 

I raced in  memory of Lilah my dearest best friend who i lost in this wild part of the world, I aim to raise money for Lilah's wood. I ask you for your generosity and kindness. I would be so greatful for any support given to make this project a reality for all our children born and yet to be born. 

Lilahs wood is a charity set up in memory of  Lilah Fraser (1981-2004)  She was a passionate being who believed that the way to help save the planet was to educate children from all walks of life to respect our natural world.

Lilahs wood will be a place of refuge. A sanctuary where children can be in nature,Learn about nature, play in nature and where they can be educated about ecology. Lilahs wood will be run by volunteers her family and friends inspired by Lilah’s Love of the earth and her proactive beliefs.

Lilahs great love of South America led her to Patagonia and Argentina. I will travel to Puerto Natales, the Southernmost unpopulated area in Chile where mountainous peaks and glaciers fill the sky.  Here I will race a 100 km wild guacho horse race.

  “We must protect the forests for our children, grandchildren and children yet to be born .We must protect the forests who cant speak for themselves such as the birds, animals,fish and trees. “
