Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

When a routine eye test in February 2022 showed swelling on the back of Bert’s eyes, we had never heard of anything to do with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. He was six at the time, and other than some mild headaches, he had no other symptoms.

Weeks of tests (including CT Scans, MRIs and Lumbar Punctures), appointments in different hospitals and seeing multiple doctors - we were finally led to a diagnosis by elimination - IIH, and every bit of information that we have learnt about the condition has come from this small charity.

Around 50 children a year are diagnosed with IIH, and knowledge around this condition is still limited - so raising money to support research is essential to increase awareness and hopefully help as many sufferers as possible.

In September 2022,  some of my amazing friends and I will be completing the London to Brighton bike ride, and it would be amazing to raise as much money as possible to support this incredible cause!
