Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page in memory of Benjamin Lawrence Newton.

Ben was born on the 22nd January 2009, he was healthy and lived a full life for nearly 3 weeks. On the 11th February 2009, he became unwell and was taken into the Children's Hospital, where he died of pneumonia.

Paddy (2010) and Sam (2013) never met their older brother, but visit his tree in the Botanical Gardens and talk about him regularly.

We have been fundraising for the Children's Hospital Charity since 2009, the work they do is outstanding and very close to our heart as they looked after Ben on the day that he died. We will always be grateful for their kindness, care and professionalism. Thanks to all the people that have raised money over the years; including...

Running - 20+ friends ran the Nottingham Half Marathon in 2009 and many more have run other races since.

Writing - Paddy entered the Radio 2 500 word story writing competition in 2016.

Leadership - 40+ friends attended a leadership workshop in July 2020.
