I have reopened this Just Giving page to help support a piano recital, to be given by Anastasia “Starz“ Watterston in Anna’s Roots memory on Friday 22 April 16 at 7:30pm, St Marys Church, Putney High Street, London, SW15 1SN.

Anna supported Starz with coffee and cake when she was making the life changing decision to give up her highflying career in London to pursue her love of music and study for a degree at Dr Hoch’s Conservatory in Frankfurt , Germany.

Anna visited Starz 10 months before she died and was deeply moved by her talent. So in tribute to her friend, Starz will be performing works from Beethoven, Ravel and Bach. We will also be joined by Cathy Gilman, CEO of Bloodwise who will talk briefly about the charity and its work.

On Saturday 6 September, Anna and I embarked on the first leg of a charity bike ride from John O'Groats to Lands End. We had been planning the ride for over a year, and were riding in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research in my memory of Vicky Mustoe.

The first planned day of our ride took us along the scenic north coast of Scotland to a village called Betty Hill. Tragically as we descended into the village that afternoon Anna was involved in a fatal collision with a lorry.

Ian, Anna's husband, asked me to update this page to share pictures of that day, which show Anna enjoying life as she always did. Where people wish to make donations we ask they are made to this fundraising page.
