About BASICS Dorset
BASICS Dorset is a charity providing life-saving care for seriously sick or injured patients in Dorset.
We provide experienced specialist volunteer doctors to assist frontline emergency service colleagues, as well as attending medical and trauma emergencies in the community. We are senior decision makers who carry enhanced pain relief, additional equipment and can undertake specialist surgical procedures. Our service is available 365 days a year, 24/7 to help ease pain, relieve suffering and save lives.
BASICS Dorset receives no government funding and relies solely on the generosity and goodwill of the public to fund its lifesaving service. We want to ease pain and suffering and try to reduce death rates in Dorset by being there, anytime and anywhere, but also by sharing our wealth of knowledge through education and training in vital lifesaving skills.
