Story
Food poverty is on the rise in our local community.
In Bristol alone, an estimated 69,400 people (16% of the population) cannot afford a balanced diet. The number of families relying on food parcels has grown alarmingly in recent years, and food poverty among children is worryingly high with increasing numbers of children depending on food provision from schools.
However, FareShare South West are fighting back. They save good food from going to waste, redistribute it around the South West to charities, schools and community groups who turn it into meals for vulnerable people.
In support of this incredible charity, Arobase Creative and friends are taking on the Cairngorm 4000s challenge. 22 miles, over 2400 metres of elevation gain across 5 of the tallest mountains in Scotlands largest national park.
The team: Tom Garland, Andrew Cadywould, Tom Fitzjohn & Matt Crowley.
Please support generously, every £5 donated can provide food for up to 20 meals for those most in need.
