I AM RUNNING THE LONDONMARATHON  I decided that as well as run the race I would do something for others ,I decided to run for a Charity that means something to me personally.

I will run for Help the Aged for several reasons. Firstly I am married to a very old bloke who needs all the help he can get!!!!  But secondly, and more importantly, over the past few years Nigel’s Dad health has deteriorated which has included him being in hospital for in excess of seven months. While he has his family around him to support and represent him, we see, and he speaks very passionately as he tells many stories of how the elderly people around him have nothing but charities to try to help them. I also discovered while talking to Nigel’s Dad that when he retired at age 60 (he is now 86) he did volunteer work for Help the Aged as well. So that is my cause, and the reason why I have chosen Help the Aged to help those folk less fortunate than my father-in-law.
