Story

Hello!

My name is Annie Clark and I am 11 years old. My Bat Mitzvah is in May 2021, and as this year has been anything but normal, I have no idea what it's going to be!

But there was one thing I could definitely do, which was raising money for charity. First, I had to choose a charity, and in the end I chose the Separated Child Foundation, an amazing charity that helps children and young people in this country who have been separated from their families because of war, terror or persecution.

Next, I had to think of a way to raise money. My Grandma Jan, who makes amazing quilts, began to sew masks for us to wear instead of disposable ones, and this gave me the idea. I also love to sew, and in the circumstances, making and selling masks for charity seemed like a great thing to do.

If you would like to buy a mask, let me know - children's masks are £5 and adult's masks are £7. We do lots of different colours and patterns. Contact me to place an order or email my dad (joel@joelsclark.com).

Thank you so much for donating to the Separated Child Foundation.

Annie
