Story
New Update: Sky Dive has been post-poned due to high wind conditions on the site. It is now rescheduled to Sept 11th.
01/07/2010 - Fantastic - I have already reached my target of raising £500.00 for the Air Ambulance, please if you were thinking of donating, don't let the fact my target has been reached put you off. Every little helps however large or small the donation. Thank-you to everyone who has been so generous and supportive already - I love you all! xx
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
The Midlands Air Ambulance is a charity close to my heart as it was well supported by my nan. Living in a remote part of Staffordshire, doing risky sports in remote areas I have always been lucky to never have to use this service. However, I do know of many people that have needed the ride, and been saved by this charity.
The Midlands Air Ambulance covers 6 county's (Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire) and covers an area in excess of 6,000 sq miles. With over 3,000 missions each year, the Midlands Air Ambulance service needs £5.6million to ensure that the 3 helicopters remain in service.
On August 29th, I will be doing the highest skydive (15,000ft) in the UK with friends for a number of charities. Falling at speeds that reach 120mph, I will fall the first 10,000ft in only a minute!
I have chosen the Midlands Air Ambulance as I know this is a service that not only runs purely on charitable donations but is often taken for granted by people who think the service will always be there. I hope that the money I raise from this dive will save somebodies life.
Please be aware that I will be paying for the dive from my own money so 100% of sponsors and donations will go straight to the Midlands Air Ambulance. Please don't forget giftaid and give generously!
Thank-you very much for your support. It means a lot to me.
