Based in the heart of the Wyre Forest, KEMP Hospice offers free specialist care and support to patients, families and carers who are dealing with life limiting illness and bereavement. We’re by their side in our day hospice, in their home or virtually, as they face some of their toughest times.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

All three of Kemps charity shops had to close in March 2020;  they reopened in July but struggle to regain the same customer footfall. Right now they need as much help as possible. I hope that a donation of a minimum of £5 per mask is affordable....but of course you may donate more than that too!  My time, fabric and other materials plus postage and packaging forms part of my own ongoing support for Kemps.

Each mask is individually crafted using two layers of pre-washed fabric (cotton) plus an interlayer (so three layers in total) and takes one and a half hours to make. When the mask needs washing I recommend using soap and water no hotter than 40 degrees and do not use a tumble dryer - this will help preserve the life of the elastic.

I'm an avid crafter - so I also make shawls and hats and other things & ask for donations to Kemp's for these too. Beanie hats are currently in production.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
