The Playtex Moonwalk is a gruelling 26 mile power walking marathon through London at night!

This is a very, very special, meaningful fundraiser to me.  Not only for everything I have gone through but for all my friends and family that have been affected and for friends and family that are still affected.  Each one is a truely amazing lady.

But, unfortunately, after doing lots of training and completing the long 20 mile training walk (which I struggled on), I have been advised medically not to go ahead with the full walk :-(  I am completely gutted and feel that I have let myself down and the rest of my family team.  As I wouldn't let it beat me, I have been struggling on with training after still being ill for weeks and being 4 1/2 months pregnant .  But after being advised by my midwife and 2 consultants not to continue, I really have to consider my health and my baby's health 1st.  But please do still sponsor 'The Team':  Oli, Rog and Roy on this page.  The 'boys' are still doing it for me :-) and I will be there to support them.

The Playtex Moonwalk creates awareness for breast cancer.  Everyone who takes part is raising money towards essential research to find a cure and prevention for breast cancer.

More and more women are being diagnosed with breast cancer. The day will hopefully come when breast cancer can be cured or prevented totally, and events such as the Moonwalk raise the money so desperately needed to make this research possible.
