In October of last year Steve and I were invited to a fundraising evening, at the ex-service mans club in Dartford, we sat on a table with our friends and during the evening Linda Reader who is the Area coordinator for Pilgrimbandits introduced me to Ben Parkinson and his dad Andy, I was truly amazed by Bens determination to live his life to the max even though he suffered the most horrendous injuries whilst serving with his Regiment in Afghanistan . I said to Andy and Ben count me in for any fundraising event in our local area, thinking that we could attend dinner dances, quiz nights and general events Andy said if I really wanted to help, an event in the following June would be a skydive! Lol, This event would also commemorate the anniversary of the D Day Landings, I said "do I look like I do extreme sports?" Lol, Ben the told me he would be jumping and that was it , I then decided if Ben could do this to raise funds for others, then so can I, Ben is a true inspiration. Every penny counts and will enable our injured  British forces " to go a little further".
