Story
Hi,
My name is Andrew Beard.
Last year I lost my brother-in-law to cancer.
Aidan was a young man, with an equally young family. He left behind my sister, Hayley, and my nephews Aaron and Gabriel.
Aidan loved to go walking and climbing. So it was while at his funeral, listening to his eulogy, that I thought I would climb Snowdon in his honour.
But, as I am pretty ambitious (or stupid), I thought I would go a small step further and climb a bigger hill. Why not Kilimanjaro?
So, starting on the 9th February 2023, I will be attempting to climb the worlds highest free-standing mountain, standing at 5,895 metres above sea level, raising money for Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity.
Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity helped Aidan during his illness, and every donation you make will help.
Please know that I am funding the climb to Kilimanjaro myself so 100% of any donations will go to Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
