Kiera’s  battle with her rare form of leukaemia has been particularly brutal and we are currently in hospital again after a life saving laparotomy. 2 weeks  after the laparotomy and inevitable stoma replacement  and we are back in again with blood clots in leg and pulmonary embolisms. The journey is long and we still have a long way to go ! Along  the way we like to support each of the charities that have offered help and support and made this cruel battle a little easier.  In July we were fortunate to be given the opportunity to spend a few days at Ben’s retreat in the cotswolds.  Despite Kiera not being very well at the time and therefore we were limited  in the activities she could do we had a much needed break from hospitals and home. Therefore I am doing this to help show our appreciation . 

 The BSF was created by Ben in August 2020 as he battled against cancer. They provide holidays for teenagers and young adults with cancer. Ben's retreat opened in April 2021 due to Covid and have been able to provide holidays for over 20 families with many more booked in.
