Story
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As the news broke on the coronavirus pandemic, like you, we followed a range of news channels to keep up to speed with what was going on. We were heartbroken to learn of the impact the lockdown period would have, particularly on already vulnerable individuals and families.
Over the past weeks, we have committed our personal funds via the Amir Khan Foundation, to provide urgent food essentials to communities across the UK & Pakistan. We have been fortunate to engage some amazing manufacturers, suppliers, and volunteer teams who have helped us support over 25,000 families across Pakistan, and over 2,000 individuals and families since the foundation launched its food poverty programme here in the UK. We were especially grateful for the support we have received from Poundland and Best Western Hotels.
However, the more people we have helped, the more it has opened our eyes to the long-lasting impact this will continue to have, particularly low-income families, the elderly, and the homeless.
As we near the end of Ramadan, we know so many of you would have been so generous to some wonderful causes already this month, but we are personally launching this appeal on the eve of Eid, for you to help the foundation keep meeting this critical need and keep fighting food poverty.
With our love and gratitude,
Amir and Faryal
