I have never been a sporty person and up until 2 years ago couldn't run to the end of the street. 2 years ago I started the couch 2 5k programme....though never believed 5k was possible. The following February I completed my first 10k! Running a half marathon was completely off the scale for me, so Cardiff Half Marathon will be a real achievement for me. I can't say I always enjoy running, though I certainly enjoy crossing the finish line. As a bonus I have met some amazing people along the way which will be friends for life.

I am running the Cardiff half in memory of my two amazing cousins were both 'taken too soon' by cancer.. .a cruel cruel disease. Simon lost his battle 21 years ago and would have been 37 this November.  Amanda was taken this year and would have been 47 in November.  They both were beautiful people inside and out and influenced hundreds of people.  

Both were so happy and lived their life to the fullest. If you have goals you can achieve anything you set your mind to do.
