Alice's London Marathon 2025 Running for Leukaemia Care

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
In 2005 and 2006, my Dad ran the London Marathon to raise funds for Leukaemia Care after losing a close friend to the disease. Now, in 2024, my Grandad has also sadly been diagnosed with Leukaemia, and the cause has become even more personal for our family.
In 2025, I’ll be following in my Dad’s footsteps and running the London Marathon once again to raise money for Leukaemia Care, a charity that’s been there for families like ours for nearly 50 years. In ‘preparation’ my Dad and I will both be competing in Herdy’s Frontyard Ultra Marathon in March 2025, a race in which 6.7km laps are completed on the hour every hour. My Dad is aiming to complete at least 7 laps, or 46.97 km, essentially running his own marathon in solidarity and to assist with fundraising efforts.
Leukaemia Care provides vital support to the 34,000 people affected by blood cancer every year in the UK, offering advice, information, and a compassionate network through the challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and beyond. Your donations will ensure this important support continues for those facing blood cancer.
Thank you for supporting me and Leukaemia Care as we run to honour those we’ve lost and fight for those still battling this devastating disease.
