We exist to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. We believe that home is everything.

Story

I ran my first London marathon in about 1991. My second in 2014. My fastest in 2015. Perhaps my last in 2016?

I wasn't going to ask for sponsorship but after two hours last night running in heavy and cold rain, I thought I would!

This year's a toughy. Last year I managed 3 hours 0 minutes and 22 seconds. Much as I try not to, it's hard not to notice what a difference 23 seconds would make. I'm about as fit as last year. A little lighter. A little older.

The training's been a bit dreary as it's been through the dullest, wettest, winter, ever. So, will be nice to get to the start on 24 April. I've joined Wadhurst Runners and been terrorising the over 55s of Sussex and beating a few whipper snappers along the way.

Thanks in advance for your support -it will cheer me up coming up the hill to Westminster (you only notice the hill if you do the 26 miles before it!)
