Alan Monk sadly passed away on Tuesday 2nd May 2023. He was a wonderful person who cared deeply about nature and his community. He volunteered at the Acorn Centre and Billy's Lake, and had lots of friends here as well. He will be deeply missed by so many people.

His parents have wished that any donations in his name go to the things that mattered to him, namely mental health work, horticulture or bee-keeping.

If you would like to honour Alan's memory and help people suffering with poor mental health, please donate to our cause. We are starting a project in the community where he lived and worked, that will directly help people who are stuck on long waiting lists for therapy and can't afford private counselling.

We are determined to address this huge unspoken issue where poverty and poor mental health means thousands of people are left unsupported. Your donations will help develop and sustain this work for at least 2 years and make sure that people stuck in poverty are not forgotten or left having to cope on their own.
