On Friday 5th January 2018, Belong Crewe competed a sponsored stationary cycle ride.  It took place for 7 hours which is the length of time it takes to ride from Belong Crewe to all the other Belong villages.

We are raising money for a new specialised SCIFIT recumbent stepper. It will enable more residents to partake in exercise as well as helping the general public with mobility issues. The seat on this machine can easily be removed meaning someone in a wheel chair can use it.

Exercise is so important and especially important in the elderly. I have been involved in many cases since working at Belong where exercise has helped people not only to be more independent but to walk unaided.

One example I have is a lady I started working with in Jun 2017, who had used a walking frame for years, she now no longer uses the frame, uses the stairs and literally skips in the gym.

The fund raising for this equipment will continue until we raise enough money. I am absolutely dedicated and passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to exercise.
