Whilst the mosque was being re-built, we used other hired premises for Jumma, Eid and during Ramadhan for maghrib, Isha and Tarawee prayers. In February 2016, A bold decision was reached to trust in Allah and request the building Contractor to make the Mosque Safe for prayers for Ramadhan 2016, despite low level of funds in the bank. On A Thursday, just over a week before the start of Ramadhan, the building contractor raised an invoice for £66,000, which we were unable to pay. On the following day at Jumma, the Mussalis ( congregation) were made aware of the situation and were asked to consider giving their precious savings as a godly loan to the mosque. It appears that our trust in Allah(S.W.T) was not in vain as after the Jumma a number of Brothers and Sisters came forward to say that they will be able to give, as a result of which we were able to pay the invoice by the following Friday. Majority of the Qarde- E- Hasanah ( Godly loan) received was at this point in time.
