I'm very excited that I'll be volunteering with SkatePal for a month in August. SkatePal is a charity that has enormously helped establish a skateboarding scene in Palestine as they build skateparks, facilitate skate lessons and provide equipment. Through skateboarding, young people in the occupied territories have access to a meaningful sporting activity, can make friends, gain confidence and simply have fun. 

I feel very lucky to be among the first SkatePal volunteers coming from abroad since the start of the pandemic. The donations are going directly to SkatePal, helping them to keep the volunteering programme running and for instance paying for our accommodation in Asira Al-Shamaliya, which is the village where I'll be teaching in a skatepark that was built by SkatePal. Any donation, no matter how big or small, really helps to create a positive impact on the lives of Palestinian kids. Thank you
