Last week was my birthday. To celebrate it, I ran the Yorkshire Marathon. I want to thank the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, who kindly offered me a place in the race, and supported me throughout the training and on the day itself.

The Jane Tomlinson appeal was launched in 2002 Jane & Mike Tomlinson set themselves the challenge of raising as much money as possible in order to support an array of children's and cancer charities across the country. With every endurance event Jane did came an overhwelming level of support from members of the public and before her death in 2007 Jane had raised an amazing £1.85million.

I did the Marathon in 4h:23m, so I set myself a new challenge: raise £423 for the appeal!
