Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We are all part of our local Sport development team where our day to day job is to increase provision for physical activity and sport in the community.
A member of our team, Ania was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease a few years ago. A degenerative condition that would eventually lead to kidney failure.
This year she was lined up to get a kidney transplant, however the operation has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic for the foreseeable and instead has had to begin renal dialysis.
We want to show our support for her during this tough time by pulling together and putting ourselves through a number it taxing shared challenges over the 4 weeks in May, in support of Kidney Wales.
Out challenges include:
* Performing 20,000 reps of exercise during this period. (wk1: star jumps, wk2: burpees, wk3 squats and wk4' sit ups).
*Achieving over 4,000km of distance through walking, running and cycling. (A distance to 3 loops of the Welsh coastline, 3 lands end to John o'hroats trips or one full loop of the UK.)
At the end of week 1 we are in tract for this goal with 930km in the bag and 4500 reps of exercise performed. This is all in spite of the challenges of childcare, work commitments and lockdown exercise/movement restrictions that our team members are facing. We are immensely proud of what everyone has achieved already, and moving into week 2,we would greatly appreciate any motivation or support you can give us.
Thanks for donating to a special cause of ours.
