Big Mountain Bike Challenge 2019 · 20 September 2019 to 24 September 2019 ·
Over 4 days, this September, we’ll be riding Tour De
France climbs in the French Alps - and climbing the equivalent of Mt
Kilamanjaro for the Thames Hospice near Windsor.

What’s motivated us to do something so crazy you might be wondering? This year has been challenging for both of us having seen the realities of what it’s like living with life-threatening and terminal illnesses, and what a difference it can make to have easily accessible support and care.
That’s why we’re both putting the pints down, and getting our lycra on, to raise funds for the Thames Hospice -so that other families can access exceptional quality of care when it’s needed most. We’re riding to help fund a £22m new home in Bray, where there’ll be in and out patient care and therapy, as well as education services for other care organisations.
To build something like this, that can help so many in different ways,
isn’t cheap. So we’re riding to not only help fund the £22m new build but
also to contribute to the £7m needed every year to run the hospice.
We’re both keen cyclists, but this is by far our biggest challenge
yet. Thank goodness we’ll have each other, and support on hand every step of the way! So please dig deep and help us help others who need it most. Any spare money you have (no matter how big or small) helps, and will keep us going when we probably want to give up on the toughest of climbs!
Plus in return for your generosity, we promise not to post photos of us in spandex! Unless that’s what you really want to see – but we very much doubt it.
Big love, Xen and Martyn.
