On 7th September 2014 I ran The Great North Run Million - barefoot style - for Fight Bladder Cancer UK.

Last year my Dad survived bladder cancer, the 7th most common cancer (4th in men). Bladder cancer IS THE ONLY ONE in the top ten where survival rates are getting worse. It's the most expensive for the NHS to treat, with the highest recurrence rate of any other cancer. And yet it receives only 0.6% of cancer research spend!
