Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in the memory of Sam Leask for the Yorkhill Family House Limited.

One day I had a crazy idea to cycle to Scotland to raise money for charity. Yorkhill Family House Limited provides free accommodation for families to ensure they can be with their sick children.
This is the same charity that Rob Cussons ran the Marathon Des Sables for and his lovely wife Jenny is going to be joining me in this venture. Sam Leask, who is Rob’s nephew, passed away at the age of 9 about 2 years ago due to a complicated immune disorder mixed with other illnesses and because of the Yorkhill Family House the family was able to be by his side through a difficult 12 week period. We are good friends of the Leask family and a wonderful playground has been constructed in Kirkton in Sam's memory.
At the end of September we are intending to cycle from Wootton nr Oxford to Kirkdale near Dumfries , which is a substantial 350 miles and I estimate will take us about 10 days.
Please bear in mind that neither myself or Jenny have any distance cycling experience and it's going to be tough.

Thanks guys, we love you all, especially if you dig deep :)
