WoS EMEA is fundraising with Samsara for Good to shine a spotlight on violence against women, whether relating to domestic abuse, torture, or human trafficking. 

Violence against women is both a consequence of and a cause of inequality between men and women. As well as being a health problem of epidemic proportions, it's also a human rights problem of equal severity. Depending on the violation, it can deprive a woman of 

• her right to health and physical and mental integrity, 
• her right to be free from torture, inhuman and degrading treatment,
• her right to life.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of these type of offenses have lifelong consequences. For this reason, we have chosen to work with the Helen Bamber Foundation to support the incredible work they do in helping empower & strengthen survivors of trafficking & torture.

All donations will be matched by Samsara however you must submit your donation to Twic to ensure it gets counted.

On the 21st of July, we will be running a yoga class with the amazing Laura Childs to bring awareness to the importance of taking time to heal. This event is limited in space & will be allocated on a first-come basis. To confirm your interest, please accept the invite via Google Calendar.

They guide Survivors to recover following their experiences of trafficking and torture. Their care supports Survivors for their whole journey enabling constant and sustained recovery.
