Story

Inspired by Martin’s story (see below) and his incredible Kilimanjaro challenge, I have decided to set my own challenge of raising money to help him towards his incredible goal.

On Thursday 15th July 2021, I will be walking over 40 miles from my nest at Williams HQ in Grove to the British GP at Silverstone.

Now as the more perceptive of you may have noticed, I’m a rubber duck! - So my “duck handler” will be carrying me on this challenge and they will be wearing a nice hot and sweaty Williams Duck costume... (Idiot!)

The route will take me from Grove, through Oxford and Bicester, before heading off for the finish at Silverstone.

Some of Martin’s team are also taking this opportunity to join me for some additional training before their expedition in September.

Please support a little duck and help me help Martin to reach his goal by supporting the Spinal Injuries Association.

Also a big "shout out" to my walk support squad of Graeme (Mr Motivator), Ollie (Mr Social Media) and Luke (Mr Physio) who are accompanying me on the walk.

Massive duck thank you to Jodie for being an absolute star and providing logistical support. 👍💙🦆

MARTIN’S STORY

On 22nd May 2017, Martin Hibbert's life changed forever. Martin was the closest survivor of the Manchester Arena bombing which tragically took the lives of 22 people. A bolt went straight through him, severing his spinal cord, leaving him paralysed below the waist. Martin is taking on the incredible challenge of raising £1million for Spinal Injuries Association, the organisation that have supported him in his recovery and gave him the hope, confidence and practical skills to start again. Martin, supported by a team of people that have helped to save and rebuild his life, will be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in September of this year.
