In recent years Dad was affected by vascular dementia and was cared for by his loving wife and my mum Valerie. In order to provide stimulation for Dads mind and to allow Mum some time for herself the charity Crossroads provided a weekly respite visitor, Jodie who would talk to Dad and allow Mum time to go out without having to worry about Dad.
